Does HMRC accept electronic copies of receipts?

Yes. HMRC will accept electronic copies of receipts as reasonable proof of purchase.

What does Keebo cost ?

You can purchase an annual plan for as little as £49.99 for processing up to 20 receipts a month. If you find you have more receipts than that, you can simply upgrade your plan whenver you want. You can also scan and upload your own receipts with any of our plans at no extra cost whatsoever.

Why not just store my receipts on my computer?

Keebo doesn’t just store your receipts. We capture all of the information on the receipts, ensuring that you can sort your expenditure by retailer, date, category and total. Also, Keebo allows you to export any portion of your information to a wide range of file formats like Excel and PDF. Importantly, we have a wide range of back-up and security systems, so we can promise you that our computers won't crash or get infected with viruses, taking all your data with them !

What Information from my Receipt is collected?

We collect the date, retailer name, item names, item quantities, item amounts, discounts, delivery charge, service charge, subtotal, total and payment method so you have a complete and detailed view of your expenses.

How soon after I send you my receipts will I see them in my account?

We guarantee that your receipts will be captured and viewable in your account within a maximum of 72 hours from the time when we receive them.

What security measures do you take to ensure my information is safe?

Keebo uses the highest level of Verisign security to make sure your data and user account is protected. We also use Trust Guard Security, Business and Privacy Seals for added safety. Your security is important to us, so we make sure to invest in the best of protection. Our receipt processing is carried out in purpose built premises, equipped with remotely monitored fire and intruder alarms, uniform security and 24/7 CCTV. Data processing is conducted by an experienced and trusted team.

What if I cancel my account?

You do not need to purchase receipt processing credit to continue storing your receipts with Keebo . However, if you wish to terminate your account for any reason, you are welcome to export all of your information and store it on your own computer if you so choose.

What happens to my receipts?

After we process your receipts, they will be recycled. If you wish to have them returned to you, this can be organised for a small fee. Email support@keebo.com for more information.

Could my credit card information be stolen from a receipt?

This would be extremely unlikely. Most receipts follow regulations that state they should not show more than a maximum of 4 digits from a credit card number. This is not enough to trace the number to an individual.

Can Keebo employees see my credit card information?

No they can’t. We don’t collect any credit card information ourselves and use Google Checkout as a 3rd party payment processor to handle all of our credit card transactions. For maximum security, we also ask our members not to send us documents with credit card information on them.

How long will my receipts stay in the account?

Your receipts will be stored in your Keebo account for as long as you want them. There is no limit and no expiry. The advantage to having your receipts scanned is that this way they can last forever without enduring physical wear and tear, damage, theft or loss.

Can I use Keebo if I am not in the UK?

No. However, we are currently working hard to allow users outside of the UK to send us their receipts. If you are interested in Keebo but are not currently residing in the UK please email us at international@keebo.com and we will let you know as soon as we start allowing International sign ups.

Will printed copies of my receipt be accepted in stores?

Retailers should accept a printed copy of a receipt as a proof of purchase, unless it looks like the receipt has been tampered with. If in doubt, please ask the retailer before disposing of the original receipt.

What can I send you?

You can send us any receipt/invoice – this includes receipts printed at the till, invoices received in the mail (mobile phone, electricity, gas), email receipts and any other proof of purchase.

What shouldn’t I send you?

Please do not send us credit card receipts, credit card or bank statements, or ticket stubs, as these only replicate the information on the receipt itself. If you are still unsure about what not to send us please email us at mailin@keebo.com. Also, we are careful not to collect ANY sensitive information, so if your receipt has any sensitive information on it for any reason (address, membership no, etc) please do black it out before sending it to us.

What happens if I go over my monthly allocation of receipts?

We always roll over unused receipts to the next month, so you can send us your receipts when you need to. If you need to send us more receipts than you have in your mail-in plan, you can upgrade to a higher account level or purchase an extra credit package.

I do a lot of online shopping. Can Keebo process and store my online receipts?

Yes. Just forward your email receipts to emailreceipts@keebo.com and they will be processed into your account.

Can I send you receipts from my Smart Phone?

Yes. Simply take a photo of your receipt with your mobile phone camera and email it to emailreceipts@keebo.com. This is the easiest way to get receipts into your Keebo account on-the-go.

A mobile app for Keebo would be great. Do you have one?

We are currently working on providing a FREE mobile app for Keebo. This intuitive mobile app will allow Keebo members to snap receipts on-the-go and send them straight to their accounts. Members will also be able to browse and organise receipts directly from their mobile phones. This exciting new app is coming soon...
